Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 21, 2026 · Last updated: April 21, 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy describes how THE CLOSET REHAB LLC (doing business as “The Closet Rehab”; “we”, “us”, or “our”), a Charlotte, NC custom-storage design and installation company, collects, uses, and protects information when you visit theclosetrehab.com or contact us for custom closet, pantry, garage, or home-organization services.
The data controller for personal information collected through this Website is The Closet Rehab LLC. If you have any questions about this policy or wish to exercise any of your rights, you can reach us at design@theclosetrehab.com or 704-604-3870.
Company information: The Closet Rehab LLC — North Carolina Foreign Limited-Liability Company, organized September 6, 2024; status Current-Active. Business address: 8430 Rea Rd, Ste. 110, Charlotte, NC 28277.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information you voluntarily provide and a limited set of technical data needed to run the website and our marketing programs. Specifically:
Information you give us directly
- Contact information — name, email address, phone number, service address, and any project details you share through our contact, consultation, or estimate forms.
- Photos or descriptions you choose to send us to help us design or quote your project.
- Communication history — the content of emails, texts, or messages you send us, and call metadata when you phone a tracked marketing number (see Section 4).
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is standard server log information.
- Analytics and advertising data — aggregated, de-identified data from Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and Google Tag Manager (see Cookie Policy). Non-essential analytics and advertising cookies are blocked by default and only loaded after you grant consent through our cookie banner.
- Server-side conversion data — we operate a server-side tagging pipeline (Stape.io) that forwards conversion events (e.g., form submission, phone call) to Google Ads and Meta. This pipeline only runs for events you actively initiate on our site and respects your cookie-consent choice.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiry, schedule a free in-home design consultation, and provide the services you requested.
- To send you proposals, appointment confirmations, invoices, and service-related communications.
- To measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising and website (aggregated / de-identified).
- To improve our website, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We share information only with the service providers we rely on to operate the business and its marketing, and only to the extent needed to do their job:
- Hosting and infrastructure — to serve this website.
- Email delivery (SendGrid) — to route form submissions to our inbox and send transactional confirmations.
- Customer relationship management (Idea Forge Studios CRM) — to capture and organize your inquiry so our design team can follow up.
- Call tracking (CallRail) — we use unique trackable phone numbers displayed on the site to understand which marketing channel drove a call. CallRail records the calling number, call duration, and may record call audio for quality assurance (you will be notified at call start if a call is recorded).
- Google Analytics 4 — for de-identified traffic analytics, only after cookie consent.
- Google Ads — for conversion measurement of our paid advertising, only after cookie consent. Google Ads may receive hashed, pseudonymous signals tied to ads you clicked.
- Google Tag Manager — for orchestrating the loading of the above tags.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — for conversion measurement and ad delivery on Meta platforms, only after cookie consent.
- Stape.io server-side tagging — a privacy-focused server-side proxy that forwards conversion events to Google and Meta without exposing your full browser data.
- Payment processors — if and when you pay for a service. We never see or store your full card number.
We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. Contact-form inquiries that do not become customers are deleted within 24 months. Customer records are retained for the life of the service relationship plus seven (7) years for tax, warranty, and accounting purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state privacy laws:
- Right to know — what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used.
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete — ask us to delete personal information we have collected from you.
- Right to correct — ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, but you can confirm this with us at any time. See our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
We do not engage in targeted advertising that uses sensitive personal information, sell personal data, or conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not engage in “sharing” as defined by CPRA § 1798.140(ah)(1) beyond the consent-based conversion measurement described above. We also do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA § 1798.140(ae). North Carolina does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute as of the effective date of this policy; we nonetheless extend the above CCPA/CPRA-based rights to all visitors regardless of state of residence.
To exercise any of these rights, email design@theclosetrehab.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or call 704-604-3870 and say “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 45 days as required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
7. Cookies & Tracking
This website uses a limited set of cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies are blocked by default and only loaded after you actively grant consent through our cookie banner. See our dedicated Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies, their purpose, and how to change your preferences at any time.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our services are directed to homeowners and commercial property managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and limited employee access on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take our responsibility to protect your data seriously.
10. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to external sites we do not control. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected on theclosetrehab.com. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice on the website. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
12. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA Opt-Out)
We do not sell personal information and do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by CPRA § 1798.140(ah)(1). Our use of Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and CallRail is limited to measuring conversions from our own marketing and is governed by your cookie-consent choice. If you still wish to submit a formal opt-out request, email design@theclosetrehab.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell / Share” or visit our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We will respond within 15 business days. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal automatically.
