Quick Tip: How to Change Your Closet Shelving in 5 Easy Steps

We're always getting calls from people saying, "hey I put my clothes away, but my shirts are hitting a shelf - can you send somebody out here to move a shelf for me." Kevin Anderson from The Closet Rehab shows you how simple it is to move shelves in your closet. Watch the full video below or see the steps for yourself below:

The biggest thing that people need to understand is how the closet is put together. If you're familiar with outside manufacturers that sell furniture online and you have put it together yourself you'll notice that there are things that are very similar to this in the systems. Follow the steps below!

1. Select desired shelf

Find the shelf that you would like to move which will be a fixed shelf

2. Find yourself a phillips-head screwdriver

When you locate the shelf you want to move, all you're simply going to need is a phillips-head screwdriver

3.  Unlock the cam screw on shelf

All you have to do is insert the phillips-head screwdriver into the cam screw and give it a half turn to unlock that shelf on all four corners

4.  Adjust pins 

Next you will notice all the pins on the inside of the shelf, simply just push it in with your screwdriver and take the pin out to move it to your desired height

4.  Place shelf on unit 

Take your shelf and set it back on the unit. Drop it over the pins and twist it and lock it in with your screwdriver to secure it in
